Patio weather is always the greatest time for dining out in Little Rock. Twice a year we round up the top patio spots across Little Rock.
This time we are breaking each patio spot down by what they are best known for. So if you are wanting an amazing river view, a peaceful secluded spot, or just a place to have some drinks and people watch, we have you covered.
Best View
Damgoode Pies in the River Market – 500 President Clinton Avenue – If you want River views, park it at Damgoode. It’s especially a nice place to hang when there are outdoor concerts going on in the nearby Amphitheater.
Cajun’s Wharf – 2400 Cantrell Road – Two words – River. Views. This one takes the cake.
Brave New – 2300 Cottondale Ln, Ste 105 – Another great river view patio, makes it great for long lunches and nice dinners watching the river roll.
42 Bar and Table – 1200 President Clinton Avenue – The newly renovated patio spot tucked away under the Clinton Presidential center is easily one of the top patios. Great views of the surrounding river bank along with comfortable lounge seating and fire pits.
Best Seasonal Patios
La Terraza Rum & Lounge – 3000 Kavanaugh Blvd – Catch some of the prettiest views in Hillcrest from the tiered patio with a Mojito in hand.
The Faded Rose – 1619 Rebsamen Park Road – The Rose’s patio can’t go unnoticed since the addition of its covered space. It is small, but it is the place to be in Riverdale.
Maddie’s Place – 1615 Rebsamen Park Rd – Small, but covered and always seems to have a nice breeze.
Big Orange West – 17809 Chenal Parkway – The eatery offers perfect seating for a good day in a secluded area in the Promenade.
Loca Luna – 315 Old Cantrell Road – Get that NOLA vibe without traveling when you post up in this hidden courtyard. It’s small, though, and can fill up pretty quickly on a pretty day.
Rebel Kettle Brewing Co – 822 E. 6th st. – The new brewery in town made a huge splash early with one of the best patios in town. The huge area offers plenty of seating and views of the Clinton Library and Heifer international, plus the new stage will make it one of the better outdoor music venues around.
Stone’s Throw Brewing – 402 E 9th St – The Biergarten patio here is the place to sit at Stone’s Throw. It is large an expansive, plus a great way to visit with others walking in and out.
U.S. Pizza Co. Hillcrest – 2710 Kavanaugh – The Hillcrest location has always been a hot spot during great weather, plus they’re dog-friendly.
The Root Café –1500 South Main Street – For a fresh, farm-to-table atmosphere stop in SOMA at The Root.
Buenos Aries Grill & Cafe – The restaurant that has taken over Juanita’s RiverMarket location has a tiered patio perfect for enjoying a drink or two in nice weather.
AW Lin’s – 17717 Chenal Parkway – The large wrap-around patio area is one of the largest in the Promenade and a great spot, especially late evening, to sip a well curated sake list.
Trio’s – 8201 Cantrell Rd – Trio’s is a little garden oasis on the front of the building. The space is perfect for a cool breeze with a tiki cocktail.
The Pizzeria – 4910 Kavanaugh Blvd – The Pizzeria recently opened a patio expansion on their location. It creates the best location in the Heights for a slice of pie and a craft cocktail.
Best Year Around Patios
Petit & Keet Bar & Grill – 1620 Market Street – The new kid in Little Rock’s culinary scene comes with an outdoor space to drool over. Think covered, yet open to streaming sunlight and harboring a fountain. One word – Peaceful.
Local Lime – 17185 Chenal Parkway – This covered outdoor space is a lovely paradise in The Promenade.
Ciao Baci – 605 Beechwood Street – This Hillcrest staple is dreamy with fairy lights, making it the perfect romantic space to sip a drink on a nice day. Don’t forget to order off the Chef’s latest menu.
Dizzy’s Gypsy Bistro – 200 River Market Ave, Ste 150 – Dizzy’s may have the most comfortable and lounge like patio in all of Little Rock, plus it is well covered which keeps it cool and gives a sense of not being in the middle of a busy area.
The Fold: Botanas & Bar –3501 Old Cantrell Road – Funky, eclectic tables and chairs provide a hip aesthetic, but be warned – this smallish space fills up quickly on a nice day. Be sure to catch Happy Hour when dining outside.
Buffalo Grill – 1611 Riverdale Park Road – The spacious, wrap-around porch feels like a garden oasis thanks to the nursery next door. Bring the whole family.
Izzy’s – 5601 Ranch Dr – Izzy’s patio flies under the radar, mostly due to location. It is a huge space that allows you to quickly forget you are in WLR.
Best Secluded Patios
Pantry Crest – 722 N Palm St – It is one of the more unique patios, giving it an alley like feel between the two buildings. It is a great spot for wine drinking.
Capers Restaurant – 14502 Cantrell Road – You really can’t beat this patio. You feel like you’re in a completely separate, serene world when you sit down.
Grumpy’s Too – 1801 Green Mountain Dr – It is one of those spots that you probably didn’t realize had a patio, but the patio spot in the back is perfect for sipping after work with friends.
The Pantry – 11401 N Rodney Parham Rd – The small patio doesn’t seat a lot, but what it does have is cozy and comfortable.
Core Public House – 411 Main Street – Core’s patio is a bit of a hidden gem behind the building. It is a cozy little spot to hang out, and once they do a little sprucing up it might easily be the best place to sit in the entire place.
Four Quarter Bar –415 Main Street – Talk about hidden oasis. If Four Quarter’s smokey interior worries you, find a time to check out the patio. It’s small but fenced in. It’s the perfect place to hang in Argenta.
Cheers in the Heights – 2010 North Van Buren Street – Small, but covered and ready for any crazy Arkansas weather, this patio is quaint, cozy, and the best way to eat a leisurely lunch.
Red Door – 3701 Cantrell Road – You feel as if you’ve found the perfect wrap-around porch when dining on Red Door’s wooden patio. Plus, the whole thing extends around the restaurant, giving it a garden aesthetic.
Table 28 – 1501 Merrill Dr – The high walls are designed to help you forget that you are on the side of a hotel across from a strip mall, and adds the perfect addition to their recently updated dining room.
Best People Watching Patios
Three Fold Noodle & Dumpling Co – 611 South Main Street – The newest member of the patio crew, Three Fold added on some premium seats on the sidewalk of their new location. If you can get past the temporary construction, the seats offer a great view of who is coming and going and folks walking around on this end of downtown.
Heights Taco & Tamale – 5805 Kavanaugh Blvd – The bar like patio is fun for drinking, visiting with people walking along Kavanaugh, and counting how many cars run the random stop sign at the intersection in front of the restaurant.
Baja Grill – 5923 Kavanaugh Boulevard – Small, but covered and even landscaped a bit, this space offers a great view of the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood.
Kemuri –2601 Kavanaugh Blvd – Tucked away on the corner of Walnut and Kavanaugh, this little gem of a spot is peaceful and quiet while not being too far away from that funky Hillcrest vibe. Order a roll of sushi or two and try the latest drink special.
Raduno – 1318 S Main St – Raduno’s new(ish) patio has become a popular spot to sit, eat, and visit. It seems to be always full, and has become a bit of a South Main destination
Samantha’s Tap Room & Wood Grill – 322 Main Street – The patio alongside the landscaped area of Main Street is small, but a beautiful place to sit in early evening when the sun goes down.
Bruno’s Little Italy – 310 Main Street – Much like Samantha’s Bruno’s offers a oasis near the hustle and bustle of Main Street. Think fair lights, Italian dishes, and a good time.
Cache – 425 President Clinton Avenue – This downtown spot isn’t necessarily large, but it’s an elegant place to lounge while grabbing a drink. Plus, the upstairs balcony patio offers pretty views of the every-busy River Market.
Dugan’s Pub – 401 East Third Street – This River Market staple has a bit of an underrated patio. Covered and dotted with flowers in the spring, it’s a great place to slow down and have a pint.
ZAZA – 5600 Kavanaugh Blvd – If for nothing else this space is great to just watch people attempt to navigate the Heights Theater parking lot. Everyone has to enter through the patio, which makes it a great way to see who is coming and going. Plus being covered makes this patio usable during most of the year.
