Damgoode Pies Closes Rodney Parham Location, Suspends Delivery to West of I-430

Damgoode Pies has come a long way since opening in 2001. With growth often means developing new concepts and changing focus. With the new focus on full service restaurants and brew pubs the original delivery first model of Damgoode does not always work anymore.
To help clear things up and focus the business Damgoode Pies today announced that the location at 10720 Rodney Parham Road will close permanently on January 31st. This is a carryout-delivery-only location opened in 2005 as a way to introduce Damgoode Pies to West Little Rock.
“We’re really a full service restaurant at heart” said Jeff Trine, founder of Damgoode Pies. “Ultimately we just want to find a location out west that truly represents our brand. Plus, we just opened a wicked sick brewpub, yo!”
Damgoode opened their brewpub spot in the River Market earlier this year and recently remodeled the Hillcrest location to bring a better focus on dine in customers. This seems to be part of a larger trend of pizzerias focusing on dine-in pies over delivery. Dine in offers a freshness and crispness to the crust that tends to not hold with delivery pizzas. Most new pizzerias that have opened over the past five years in Central Arkansas have either not included a delivery option, or only offered it through a third party like Chef Shuttle.
After closing the Rodney Parham location, Damgoode Pies will suspend all regular deliveries west of I-430 until further notice. They will continue to offer catering deliveries throughout Central Arkansas. The restaurant group will continue to refine and enhance their other three central Arkansas location.
