Flying Saucer Hosts Rebel Kettle Beer Dinner Featuring Chef Matt Clark

So you like to occasionally enjoy a craft beer or two. Maybe you even consider yourself a bit of a foodie. If not, you at least know a good brew when you drink one, and you most certainly know what you like to eat.
It’s time to take it to the next level and see what happens when you pair solid craft beer with good grub. Don’t miss the upcoming Rebel Kettle Beer Dinner at the Flying Saucer in the River Market on Thursday, September 7 from 7 to 10 p.m.
Foodies will rejoice as Waffle Wagon’s Matt Clark (now with Brave New Restaurant) is leading the food side of things. Beer nerds can geek out as well, as Rebel Kettle Assistant Brewer Josh Davis will give a snapshot of each beer at the dinner.
Clark says he thoroughly enjoyed creating a menu around the five Rebel Kettle brews. “We all met up and tasted beers and brainstormed ideas, and I went to work trying to source stuff and that’s how it happened,” he says.
If that’s not enough to get you hungry (and thirsty) check the menu below. Think five Rebel Kettle Beers and four courses plus a snack. NOTE: We’re more than excited for the snack round – Pork Rinds + Malt Liquor Beer.
Clark says, “The pork rinds were an add on – there were originally only going to be four courses, but I found out Josh was making Malt Liquor and got super stoked – so we added in a snack to go with it.”
The dinner is $40 for UFO members and $45 for non-members. Tickets are going fast – reserve your seat by stopping by the Flying Saucer in person. Stay up-to-date with information here.
If you haven’t delved into local food/beer extracurriculars, try it out. Clark says it best, “I’m really tickled with how things turned out and it’s really neat to be doing some fun food with fun people.”
