Food Hall of Fame Pick – Gone But Not Forgotten & Food Event

The 4th annual Arkansas Food Hall of Fame induction ceremony is just a few weeks away on February 25th at the Ron Robinson Theater. The Hall of Fame takes nominations from across the state and a panel of judges selects the winners in each of the categories. Tickets are available here.
We decided to have a little fun this year all the while giving away a few tickets to this year’s event. We want to see, given the nominees, how our readers would pick the winners.
For the first time around we will look at the nominees for the Gone but Not Forgotten and Food Event categories, next week we will look at the Hall of Fame nominees and the Proprietor of the year. The rules are simple, pick who you think should win with the form below. We will also draw for a pair of tickets each week to go to the Hall of Fame ceremony itself on the 25th. Then we will announce our reader’s picks and see how they line up with what the judges selected.
For the Gone But Not Forgotten Category (restaurants that have closed) the nominees are Klappenbach Bakery of Fordyce, Mary Maestri’s Italiano Grillroom of Springdale, La Scala Italian Restaurant of Little Rock, Uncle John’s of Crawfordsville, and The Shack Barbecue of Little Rock.
For the Food Event of the Year, the nominees are Hope Watermelon Festival in Hope, International Greek Food Festival in Little Rock, Our Lady of the Lake Church’s Annual Spaghetti Dinner in Lake Village, Tontitown Grape Festival, and World Championship Duck Gumbo Cookoff in Stuttgart.
Make your picks below, 1 entry per person for the drawing please (we can tell).
