Food News: Natchez Set to Close on July 25

The writing was definitely on the wall for Natchez once the restaurant went to weekend-only hours back in May, but it’s still tough news to read it will be closing on July 25.
This from Chef/Owner Alexis Jones via Facebook:
“Natchez will have our last dinner service July 25; this has been an incredible learning experience that I will always treasure. I would like to thank the local community for their loyal patronage and support throughout the past three years. We will miss serving you and hope to see you for our last two weekend services. I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you how much I have appreciated the very talented and lovely people who worked beside me, both employees and friends who moonlighted when I was in need. Y’all have been my heart and backbone; I could not have done it without you!”
Losing Natchez is a huge blow.
While the restaurant had its fair share of ups and downs at the beginning stages, Natchez definitely settled into one of the better restaurants in Little Rock over the past year. Not only was the food elite, but it articulated an elevated southern flair that has helped put our culinary scene on the map. Chef Jones is a true talent (and she surrounded herself with an amazing staff) and I only hope we haven’t seen the last of her in Little Rock.
