Get a "Sneak Peek" of At the Corner This Weekend

We’ve been on high alert around here for the opening day of At The Corner, the modernized, fancified diner in downtown at the corner of Markham and Scott. We got a look at some of the food a short while back, and we’ve been excited to see them open their doors and start serving the masses.
And it looks like hungry diners anxious for a sampling of At The Corner’s menu will be able to get a taste this weekend. They are running a “sneak peek” all weekend long, with an anticipated full opening sometime next week.
What should you be looking forward to? First and foremost, the poutine (at least that’s what I’m most eager to consume). Poutine, of course, is a Canadian classic that occasionally makes its way onto American menus, but probably doesn’t get quite the credit it deserves. But hot, crispy fries, gravy, and squeaky melting cheese curds? What’s not to love?
Look for Butcher and Public hot dogs, too. And they’re doing an intriguing burger with peanut butter and bacon jam…yes, bacon jam.
They’ll be running both breakfast and lunch menus today (3/7/15) until 2 pm with more hours tomorrow…so keep an eye out on their Facebook for further details. They’ll also be posting their official restaurant hours and full menu this weekend, so keep your eyes peeled.
