Get Involved in NLR Restaurant Month, Give Back and Win Big

As we all get ready to make that daunting New Year’s resolution list, the post-holiday void sets in. Don’t slip into the winter doldrums, and instead, rejoice in the fun of North Little Rock’s upcoming Restaurant Month.
A past favorite in the local scene, the North Little Rock Convention & Visitor’s Bureau is once again partnering with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Athletic Department to offer Trojan Basketball tickets.
The Bureau is also taking it up a notch by adding a new partnership with The Arkansas Foodbank as well as offering sweet prizes, all throughout the month of January.
Trojan fans will remember some of the fun from last year, and the importance of keeping up with receipts. It’s simple – take any North Little Rock restaurant receipt to the Visitors Information Center in Burns Park or the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce – and receive a ticket to the Feb. 4 game. Better than that, you get a ticket for every $5 spent.
Those who love social media platforms can get in on the fun with food photos in exchange for prizes. A winner will be chosen every Friday in January – to enter be sure to use hashtag #EatNLR with your post. The contest applies to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and includes pretty much all of the restaurants that you can think of in North Little Rock.
Unfortunately, even though most food drives end after the holidays, hunger doesn’t. With the addition of the Arkansas Foodbank in the mix, participants and restaurants can help. From Jan. 22 – Feb. 4, a “Dine Off” will take place between select restaurants in North Little Rock. The goal is for each restaurant to collect the most monetary donations for the Arkansas Foodbank. The winner will take home the Golden Plate.
Help your favorite restaurant win the Dine Off by donating using the envelopes provided at tables or at the front counters.
