A couple of weeks ago we threw out some growler FAQs for beer lovers. Today, we follow up with a list of places where you can get your growler filled. Check it out, and get ready to drink beer. Also, let us know if we left your favorite fill station off, so we can add it to our list.
Vinos – Located on 923 W 7th Street, Vino’s offers growler refills every day of the week, including Sundays. They have their own beers on tap, including such stalwart creations as the Firehouse Pale Ale, 6 Bridges Cream Ale, and the Lazyboy Stout, among others. Vinos has a growler take-back program, so be sure to bring in their logoed glass, or buy one there when you are craving a Vinos beer.
Blue Canoe Brewing Co. – One of Little Rock’s newest nanobreweries offers growler fills on Thursdays from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturdays from noon to 10 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 8 p.m. Bring home specialties including the Whittler, their milk stout, or their Razorback Rye IPA.
Diamond Bear – Since moving to 600 North Broadway Diamond Bear has really upped their taproom game. Open from Tuesday through Sunday from 11 to 9 p.m., be sure to grab their Presidential IPA and their Dogtown Brown Ale.
Lost 40 – Having just expanded their hours Lost 40 is now open every day of the week. This is great news, as the watering hole on Byrd Street is a mecca of growler refills. Head here for all of Lost 40’s delectable libations, including the Love Honey Bock and one of their newest creations, the Belgian Blonde.
Stone’s Throw – Located on 402 E 9th Street, Stone’s Throw will fill up any growler with any beer they’ve got on hand.
Metro Wine & Spirits – If you can’t make it to a brewery, or you happen to live near 12206 W Markham, you’re in luck. Metro Wine & Spirits usually has about ten options on draft, recently including – Appleblossom Armstrong APA, Chimay Doree, Sixpoint Beast Mode, and more.
Colonial Wine & Spirits – Maybe you’re closer to 11200 W Markham St. The Growler Station in the back is ready to service any 32 or 64 oz. growler glass. Right now you can choose from Buffalo Sweat’s Vanilla Bean Stout, Stone’s Throw Ripple Effect Rye, and Prairie’s Funky Gold Amarillo.
Roadrunner – Don’t forget when you’re filling up your gas at 11401 Cantrell to head in for a growler. Currently a few of their offerings include – Stone’s Throw Shamus Stout, Blue Moon, Mother’s Brewing Coffee Stout, Mustang 66, and Diamond Bear Pale Ale.
Spirits Fine Wines – The liquor store offers a limited variety of beers on tap currently including Summit EPA and the Summit Porter among others. Head to 2516 Cantrell Road to check out their full offerings.
Whole Foods Little Rock – Head to 501 S Bowman road to experience the special growler refill station. With over ten beers, both local and beyond, to chose from, you can’t go wrong. Some choices include Summit Extra Pale Ale, Lost Forty Bare Bones Pilsner, Ace’s Hard Cider, Boulevard Irish Ale, Abita Purple Haze, and many more. Don’t get overwhelmed as tastings are welcomed and often recommended to ensure you go home with the right beer for your palate.
Big Orange Midtown – Heading to lunch or dinner at Big Orange Midtown? Kill two birds with one stone and bring your growler along. Chances are, they’ll fill it for you.
