Lost Forty Brewing Tap Room Set To Open Saturday, December 20th

Lost Forty Brewing has spent the past week introducing Little Rock to their new local craft brew. Now they are ready to open the doors to their tap room with a soft opening this Saturday, December 20th.
Lost Forty is the latest venture by Little Rock based Yellow Rocket Concepts, responsible for ZaZas, Big Orange, Local Lime, and the soon to open Heights Taco and Tamale Co. In addition to their Lost Forty Pale Ale, Bare Bones Pilsner and Forest King Stout beers that are being sampled around town, the brewery will also introduce Rock Hound IPA and Love Honey Bock in the near future.
While the tap room is not a restaurant, they will have 10-12 beer snacks and entrees to flex the culinary talents of the restaurant group.
“Everything is going to be house made with love. We have spent months fine tuning the house made bratwurst and kielbasa recipes,” co-owner Scott McGehee tells us.
The highlight of the food menu is likely going to be the brisket which has received rave reviews for those lucky enough to have sampled it.
“It is a very simple dish. A pile of brisket, boulevard Texas toast, shaved cabbage-green tomato slaw, and my family’s bbq sauce,” McGehee says. “The sauce is a variation of the Shack Sauce which opened at 3rd and Victory in the 1930’s. It’s a black pepper heavy sauce, sweet, but not as sweet as most, tangy, onion, and honey. It’s what I consider to be real Arkansas bbq, what the great bbq places in the past served.”
The Lost Forty Brewing Tap room at 501 Byrd St, Little Rock will be open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. (Wednesday through Sunday). We will have a full preview of the tap room later this week.
