Main Street Food Festival

It is no secret, we love food trucks. We even do our own little festival every year. But nothing compares to the 47 trucks that will line up down Main Street this Saturday for the Main Street Food Truck Festival.
The festival is back for the 5th year, and this looks to be bigger than ever. New this year, every truck is required to offer at least one dish under $5, which will make sampling multiple trucks even easier.
Main Street Food Truck Festival is (of course) on Main Street in Little Rock, between 3rd and 8th street. It runs from 11:00-4, but word to the wise, get there at 10:45 because the lines get long and the popular trucks sell out quick.
Also, please for the sake of the sanity of the trucks, bring some $1s instead of trying to pay for your $6 taco with a $20 bill. (You are welcome Gwen).
You could of course go sample all 47 trucks, the full list is at the end, but that would leave you $235 poorer and about 50 lbs heavier. Instead here are our 10 favorites attending to look out for.

  • Bash Burger – Good quality burgers from this truck out of Benton, here is a look back.
  • Beast Food Truck – Hands down one of our favorites. Serves up paleo food that doesn’t suck. A welcome sight.
  • Kincaids Coffee (previously called Cafe 7181) – You are going to need some energy to get through this, these guys are making some great coffee from a cool cart. Look here.
  • Excaliburger – Excaliburger is sort of a fan favorite. After being out for a while it is making a come back at Main Street
  • Hot Rod Wieners – Seriously good dogs. Here is a look at their latest menu.
  • Katmandu Momo – Fantastic dumplings (momos) in traditional Nepal style.
  • Loblolly Creamery – Loblolly makes some of the best ice cream around. Pray for choco tacos.
  • The Pie Hole – Yes the Pie Hole moved to Dallas, however she can’t get away apparently. Eat here while you can.
  • Slader’s Alaskan Dumplings – For something completely different, try Slader’s dumplings. Find out more about Slader.
  • The Southern Gourmasian – Quite possibly the most well known food truck in LR. Southern Gourmasian has a restaurant now, but they still roll out the famed yellow truck when they can, and the food is still top notch.
