Opening Date Set for Big Bad Breakfast

The Little Rock area’s first Big Bad Breakfast is nearing completion and they are ready to open the doors on June 21st of next month at 101 South Bowman.

Big Bad Breakfast was founded by award-winning chef John Currence, who has more Little Rock connections than imaginable, in Oxford back in 2008. The small group has gone on to add 9 more location with another 4 coming this year including the Little Rock location.

.“I can’t get enough of the Rock.” said John Currence, Founder & Chef. “I have built so many amazing friendships and partnerships that I can not wait to get up and running so I can be here more. We could not have wished for better partners in Little Rock.”

The Little Rock location will be operated by Ben Brainard, formally with Yellow Rocket Concepts. While no other locations have been announced in the state, it is positioned to be the first of many here with Brainard at the helm.

“We are incredibly excited to bring Big Bad Breakfast to Little Rock. I grew up in the Heights going to Bard’s in the ’70s and ’80s, and feel as though there’s been a bit of a hole in the market for a casual, fresh, affordable breakfast diner,” said Brainard.

Opening will take place on June 21st. They are actively hiring staff, and employment applications can be filled out online or in person from May 23rd-May 27th.
