Reader's Pick: Food Hall of Fame

This week we continue with our reader’s choice in the 4th annual Arkansas Food Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony on February 25th at the Ron Robinson Theater (tickets are available here) will crown the real winners, but we are curious what you think.
As with last week, we will randomly give out a pair of tickets to the ceremony for our readers to see first hand who the judging panel will announce as the winner, last week’s winner was Victoria Wells Gross. The Hall of Fame takes nominations from across the state and a panel of judges selects the winners in each of the categories. We will tabulate our own results and see if you all had the same opinion based on the finalists.
This week we turn our attention to the main two categories: The proprietor of the year and the Hall of Fame inductees themselves.
The Proprietor of the Year award is designed to honor a chef, cook and/or restaurant owner in Arkansas who has made significant achievements in the food industry. There are some great finalists this year including Peter Brave (Brave New), Loretta Tacker (Tacker’s Shake Shack), Sami Lal (Star of India), Scott McGehee (Yellow Rocket), and Capi Peck (Trio’s)
The Hall of Fame is designed to recognize long-standing restaurants that have also become legendary attractions in Arkansas. Each of the three yearly inductees must have been in business for at least 25 years and be locally owned. This year’s finalists include 4-Dice Restaurant (Fordyce), Craig Brother’s Cafe (DeVall’s Bluff), Ohio Club (Hot Springs), AQ Chicken House (NWA), Doe’s Eat Place (Little Rock), Star of India (Little Rock), Bruno’s Little Italy (Little Rock), Keeney’s Food Market (Malvern), Burge’s (Lewisville, Little Rock), and Kream Kastle (Blytheville).
Make your pick on each below, and will also pull from the entrees a pair of tickets to the ceremony itself. One vote/entree per person.
