We are extremely excited to announce our new Popup Dinner series at Community Bakery, starting with our good friend Cetera Key (previously of TAE and Southern Gourmasian). This first dinner will be held June 19th at 6pm.
The dinner will be four courses including a collaboration dessert for $50 (plus tax and gratuity). This will be a limited seating event and we will sell out. To grab your tickets head over to Community Bakery’s online ordering select order now, and purchase the number of seats you want.
Once upon a time we held regular pre-fixe dinners around town highlighting local chefs, and it is something we have wanted to do again for a while. Last year, before COVID, John Brandenburger approached me about ways to help out local chefs and allow them to utilize his space. After a bit of brainstorming together, the idea of holding popup dinners for great local chefs without a current restaurant (food truck or independent chefs) was born. However it was immediately placed on hold due to COVID.
The idea of starting off with Cetera Key was a no brainer. She is a fabulous person, an experienced chef, and unfortunately most people have not had a chance to experience her hospitality or food since her restaurant TAE closed back in early 2019. We wanted to work with her to bring some of the great flavors from TAE and Southern Gourmasian back for one night.
As a part of the popup, we will also feature the amazing artwork of Adaja Cooper, who is Community Bakery’s featured artist. Adaja will have several of her works on display (and for purchase if you desire) during the dinner and will also come out and talk a bit about her work.
