One Eleven at the Capital – In conjunction with Esse Purse Museum, One Eleven will be offering special Mother’s Day food events all weekend. On Saturday, May 9th from noon – 2 p.m. there will be a special Mother’s Day Tea. On Sunday there will be a special Mother’s Day Buffet Brunch at the Capital. Capital Bar and Grill – No reservations are needed for CBG’s Mother Day specials which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The set menu includes a choice in appetizers, either Sweet Florida Corn Vichyssoise or Pickled Red Beet Salad; a choice between Pan Seared North Carolina Trout and Lemon Tea Brined Fried Chicken with Hot Honey Drizzle for the mains, and Banana Pudding or Chocolate Pot De Crème with Churros to finish. The price is $35 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
1620 Savoy – Reservations are now open for the restaurant’s special Mother’s Day Brunch. Highlights include a Tomato Basil & Goat Cheese Quiche, Pork Biscuit and Gravy, and a Filet Benedict. Lost Forty Brewing – Each Sunday the brewery offers three breakfast items all day, one of which is a short stack of pancakes made with beer batter and topped with seasonal ingredients and house made syrups and sauces. For Mother’s Day they will take it up a notch, and will be offering Chocolate Covered Strawberries as a treat for the moms of the hour. Be on the lookout for their creative drink concoctions as well: BeerMosas made with fresh squeezed orange juice, and BeerMarys, a spin on a Bloody Mary made with the Lost Forty Pilsner.
DoubleTree in Downtown – From 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the DoubleTree downtown will offer an extensive Mother’s Day special brunch.
