Rumbles: Beignets Come to LuLu's, Spokes Expands, Raduno Gets Bread Pudding

News
After shutting down Rick’s Beignets and Cajun due to health concerns, Richard Rogers has found his way back into a Little Rock kitchen. Rogers has joined Heinz Kurt at his Bowman restaurant Lulu’s Latin Rotisserie and Grill and is already making his mark on the place. The two are combining on some new recipes, such as a Jamaican jerk chicken wing special and a new papusa entrée. And if you were missing them, the beignets are back and are the original recipe from the food truck. Look for Rogers and Kurt to come up with even more exciting new collaborations blending Cajun and South American styles of cooking.
Admittedly, I’m no Gilmore Girls fan (at all), but my wife is immensely excited about today’s transformation at Andina Café downtown. The coffee shop is part of a nationwide promotion called “Luke’s Diner for a Day.” The café will be decked out in Luke’s Diner gear, including branded hats and aprons. And lest you think it’s all just for show, Andina will be giving away free cups of coffee to the first 250 Gilmore Girls fans that come in. This nationwide promotion is ahead of the return of Gilmore Girls on Netflix next month.
As promised, The Water Buffalo is expanding its hours to accommodate its new brewing business. F3 Velo has also purchased the Marshall Clements building on Rebsamen Park Road next to Pizza Café and is planning on building a new coffee, beer and wine bar that will focus on the cycling community. These projects will be completed some time in 2017.
