DownHome Restaurant & Catering recently moved into a new building at 9219 Stagecoach Road. Loblolly Creamery, located inside the Green Corner Store & Soda Fountain at 1423 Main Street, will host an Ice Cream Happy Hour on July 9 from 5-7 p.m. featuring handcrafted sodas, ice cream and boozy floats using Rock Town spirits, and a portion of the sales will benefit Thea Foundation. “All ages are invited to the happy hour, and kids and adults are invited to decorate the sidewalks with chalk. During the month of July, Loblolly Creamery will serve a special flavor in honor of Thea Foundation. The seasonal Blueberry Pie ice cream is a decadent treat made with real blueberries and swirled with chunks of pie crust. Ten percent of the sales of this flavor all through July will benefit Thea Foundation, and 10% of the total sales at the Loblolly Creamery Happy Hour July 9 will benefit Thea. Everyone who joins us at the Ice Cream Happy Hour is invited to enter a free raffle to win a pint of Blueberry Pie ice cream.”
A special market and festival is coming to Bernice Garden on July 2. “A Very Veggie Fourth of July” will be free and open to the public, will serve to celebrate Little Rock’s vibrant and varied food culture. The festival aims to inspire both vegetarians and omnivores alike by showcasing fun, local, vegetarian dishes to serve at their 4th of July celebrations.
