Local neighborhood nano-brewery Stone’s Throw Brewing plans to celebrate its second birthday with The Block on Rock Birthday Bash on August 1 from 3-10 p.m. (commemorating the opening of the onsite taproom to the public on August 1, 2013).
The Arkansas Brewers Fest is set for July 18 from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. at the Arkansas State Fair. There will be sample brews from around the Natural State at this fundraiser for the Arkansas Brewers Guild. Regular admission (includes entry and 10 sample tickets) is $9.99 during online pre-sale and $15 at the gate. VIP admission (includes entry, 25 sample tickets, and souvenir tasting glass) is $19.99 during online pre-sale and $30 at the gate. We’ve gotten word that Hot Rod Wieners has upgraded to a new truck which will debut at Westover Wednesday this week. The truck will also be carrying Loblolly ice cream full time, along with some new additions to the menu.
