Samantha’s Tap Room and Wood Grill Set to Open Late January

There’s good news for Little Rock’s beer and wine lovers. The new downtown destination – Samantha’s Tap Room and Wood Grill – is set to open in late January. With the menu based around a wooden grill and aiming to offer a wide array of drink choices, this is one you won’t want to miss. The taproom touts an astounding 32 tapped beers as well as 20 tapped wines.
Chris Tanner, owner of Little Rock’s Cheers, is working on a menu in conjunction with three long-time friends. Nick Lawrence, airline pilot and one of these friends, said the idea behind the taproom was to bring in their different experiences to offer a unique atmosphere. The group has spent time talking with various vineyards, and will be the first restaurant in Little Rock to boast of so many tapped wines, but they know their stuff. “We’ve gotten with the vineyards and really done substantial research,” he said.
As to why a taproom downtown Lawrence said, “Everybody loves beer and wine … plus Main Street is really starting to take off. The block in front of us is currently being remodeled.”
The team is currently working to get every detail in place, which is why the opening date could change slightly, however, Lawrence said, “We are hoping that we will be open on January 19 or the 20th.” Until then look for a couple of soft opening, and grab your glasses – this venture aims to please.
