We have been good friends and big fans of Little Rock based startup Treatsie. First shipping last year, Treatsie offers monthly subscription boxes of artisan sweets from carefully curated small batch candy makers. Think Birchbox meets jam of the month club, but a whole lot better.
“There are millions of sweets out there. At Treatsie, we work to find great, chef-run sweets shops and help them grow their businesses by connecting them with people who love good food,” said Keith Hoelzeman, co-founder and CEO of Treatsie.
The Treatsie Artisan Sweets subscription box includes 8 – 9 sample size items from 3 – 4 small, independent vendors, which change every month. When subscribers find items they love, they can buy full-size versions through Treatsie’s e-commerce store. Gift subscriptions can be ordered in 1-month, 3-month, 6-month and 1-year periods.
For Valentine’s Day, Treatsie is rolling out seven special boxes including: a Valentine’s Box, a Hot Love Box, a Man Box, a Bacon Your Man Happy Box, a Best of 2013 Box, a Chocolate Lover’s Box and a Caramel Lover’s Box.
