Trinity Methodist and Mac ‘N’ Cheez Mania Festival Announce $15,000 Raised for Local Charities

The mac and cheese food festival, Mac ‘N’ Cheez Mania, hosted by Trinity United Methodist earlier this year at War Memorial Stadium announced some final numbers from the event. The event managed to attract 1,500 people, raising $16,000 for local charities.
In addition to the money raised Trinity United Methodist donated an additional $4,000 to bring the total to $20,000. Youth Home, Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp, Harmony Health Clinic and Canvas Community were all presented with a $4,000 check today.

Trinity United Methodist Church (TUMC) and Mac N Cheez Mania organizers presented a check for $4,000 each to Youth Home, Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp, Harmony Health Clinic and Canvas Community at a ceremony today at War Memorial AT&T Stadium.
Mac ’N’ Cheez Mania, Little Rock’s inaugural mac and cheese festival, is a fundraiser benefiting missions that serve children, fight hunger, and promote health and education. In its first year, more than 1,500 people attended the event, helping TUMC raise $16,000 for local charities. TUMC donated an additional $4,000 to total $20,000 overall.
“Trinity is proud to work with these five non-profit communities to make a difference in lives, particularly concerns related to health, education, hunger, and children,” said Rev. Betsy Singleton Snyder, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church. “This was truly a community-wide event. We’re already looking forward to Mac N Cheez Mania in 2016.”
Mac ‘N’ Cheez Mania was held on April 11, 2015 at War Memorial AT&T Stadium. The event featured more than a dozen home-style teams who competed for bragging rights and prizes, along with more than a half dozen restaurants who showcased their best Mac N Cheese dishes.
