We love the Little Rock Trojans over here, when we get a chance to combine that with great local food it is even better. So this year we are very excited to help bring some fantastic food trucks together to help kick off the Trojan basketball season, and we are giving you an exclusive chance to enjoy it.
This year for their homecoming game (first game of the season), we are partnering with the Trojans to host a tailgate party. Homecoming festivities kick off at 11 a.m. this Saturday. The Trojans will have a large tailgate area set up with tents, games, inflatables, and live radio. We are coming in with eleven of our favorite food trucks to add to the event.
Later that day at 3pm the trojans will take on Central Baptist College for the first official game of the season. The Trojans won 30 games last season, a school and conference record, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament after beating Purdue. The team this year looks to follow up on that success under new head coach Wes Flanigan.
Food trucks for this year’s event include Little Penguin Tacos, Hot Rod Wieners, Fork in the Road, Katmandu MO MO, Wok ‘n Roll, Slader’s Alaskan Dumpling Co., BlackHound Bar B Q, Roxy’s Twisted Sandwiches, The Southern Gourmasian, EXCALIBURGER, and Loblolly Creamery.
The UALR alumni association will provide free meals to the first 250 students to attend the tailgate.
However, we wanted to give you a chance to experience the same thing. So we are giving away two pairs of tickets plus food truck meals for a few of our followers.
We will draw two winners at 5pm Friday for a Trojan tailgate package. Both will receive 2 tickets to the game, and a voucher for 2 free meals from either Hot Rod Wiener, Little Penguin Tacos, or Fork in the Road during the tailgate. Just fill out the form below. Tickets to the game are always available even if you don’t win.
