Urban Farm Fest Poised to Become a Signature Event for Heifer

Heifer International knows how to put on an event. From the swanky white linen Feast of the Fields to the quirky Alpacapalooza, their events brought tons of folks to East Village well before East Village was a thing.
In just the second year the subtly named Urban Farm Fest on June 7th might be the best of all parts of their festivals. It is far more approachable than Feast of the Fields and more foodie friendly than Alpacapalooza. Yet it finds the best of both with a strong focus on farm produced products and a lot of fun.
This year’s event features seven food trucks, which thankfully include four of the best in Little Rock with Count Porkula, Excaliburger, Cypress Knee, and Katmandu. Plus a couple of new(ish) trucks to try in Shambala and Pappy Jack’s Street Pies along with the always popular Loblolly Creamery.

Best of all your ticket covers the food from the trucks as well as drinks, something we would love to see more festivals do in the future. The drinks feature a specialty made drink using ingredients from the farm along with a number of craft beers and spirits from the state.
On the entertainment side they will have live music from the The Funkanites and lawn games like baggo and human foosball.
The event last from 5:30-10pm, again your ticket gets you food, drinks, and access to all of the entertainment. Tickets are available for $50 each, or $200 for a group of 5. You can purchase tickets here.
