Where to Eat in Little Rock for Valentine’s Weekend

This year Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday, making it the perfect time to take your special someone out to eat on a romantic dinner. Little Rock offers a wide variety of set-menus for love-birds, but keep in mind, most restaurants suggest making a reservation, spaces are filling up fast.
AcadiaThis year the Hillcrest restaurant will be seating Friday through Sunday, throughout Valentine’s weekend by reservation only. The price is $56.75 per person. Menu highlights include Oyster, Artichoke, and Spinach Bisque with Parmesan Croutons from the first courses; Roasted Bone-In Double Thick Pork Chop from the mains; and Flourless Dark Chocolate with a Strawberry-Grand Marnier Coulis and Brandy Sauce, from the desserts, among others. Brave New – Rest assured that the eatery has a delicious menu up their sleeve, which will not be released until the day of. Call 501-663-2677 for more details.
Café Prego – The Heights space will offer a set menu which will include a chicken, fish, or beef option among the entrees. Call (501) 663-5355 for more details.

Heritage Grille, Steak and Fin – The steakhouse has a set menu that costs $180 per couple. The price includes a champagne toast and bottle of house wine, paired with a five course meal. The main consists of three choices: Smoked Lamb Chops, Cast Iron Filet Mignon and Blackened Swordfish. Enjoy a Chocolate Mousse Cake for two with Ganache and Raspberry Coulis for dessert. Kemuri Japanese Restaurant – One of Hillcrest’s newer restaurants is now taking Valentine’s Day reservations. Chef Greg Wallis will be featuring a 6 oz. Filet with Blue Crab Creme Sauce, Butter Poached Lobster Tail served with Asparagus and Parmesan Arancini. For dessert there will be a Wasabi Banana Egg Roll with Coconut Ice Cream and Chocolate Ganache. Call at (501)660-4100 to reserve your special table.
One Eleven – The Capital Hotel’s restaurant will have a set menu on Sunday, Feb. 15 from 10 am to 2 pm. A choice of champagne will be offered with a choice of appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Highlights include Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon and Spinach; Slow Roasted Prime Rib with Brussels Sprouts. It’s $39 per person, which is exclusive of tax and gratuity. SO Restaurant-Bar – SO will be offering the prix fix menu available for $100 per person. 1st course (shared), Choice of: Blue point oysters on the half shell, saffron arancini (fried risotto balls) with prosciutto, manchego and mascarpone cheeses, roasted tomato aioli, basil, and a balsamic reduction, or Crimini mushrooms stuffed with pork sausage, red peppers, scallions, Monterey Jack cheese and a Cajun cream sauce. 2nd course, Choice of: fore roasted red pepper bisque with feta creme fraiche and garlic croutons, arugula salad tossed in a port wine vinaigrette with red onions, figs, goat cheese, bacon, and pine nuts, grilled asparagus salad with heirloom grape tomatoes and a Parmesan peppercorn dressing. 3rd course, Choice of: pan seared duck breast with port wine reduction, sautéed haricots verts and sweet potato purée, grilled filet mignon with a Gorgonzola cream sauce, rosemary shoestring potatoes and grilled asparagus, or pan seared jumbo scallops with a cranberry bacon jam over a parsnip corn leek and bacon succotash. 4th course (shared), Choice of: hazelnut cheesecake with whipped cream and a caramel sauce, mascarpone crepes with gran marnier soaked strawberries and fresh mint, or dark chocolate creme brûlée with candied walnuts. Trio’s – The restaurant has yet to release their set menu, but you can expect specials across the board. Call (501) 221-3330 for more information.
South on Main – South on Main will be hosting a Valentine’s Day Brunch (options include: breakfast tacos, fried pork loin, cruller Monte Cristo, frittata, chicken salad, cornmeal pancakes, and biscuits and gravy) from 10 am to 2 pm on February 14th. This coincides with the SoMa Mardi Gras parade that day. The restaurant will also have fun brunch drink specials, and plans to keep the bar open after brunch leading into dinner service (2-5) with Social Hour specials. Finally, SoM will offer a 4-course tasting menu for dinner, with a concert that night starting at 10 pm. Call for details and reservations (501) 244-9660.

Table 28 – Honoring Valentine’s Day with a Facebook giveaway, interested parties can head to Table 28’s page and get the details on a luxurious dinner for two followed by breakfast in bed the next morning. Vesuvio Bistro – The restaurant will serve a special Valentine’s menu on Feb. 14 and 15, coming it at $50 per person. Natchez – In addition to its regular menu, Natchez will be offering: Roses are Pink (3 for $35, wine pairing $15): Le Caprice de Clementine, Cotes de Provence France, Butter-poached Gulf Shrimp, Texas grapefruit, spinach, pickled turnips and shallots; M. Chapoutier, Belleruche, Cotes de Rhone- France, Duck breast, savory sweet potato and golden raisin bread pudding, red chard, maple sorghum; Adelsheim, Pinot Noir Rose, Oregon, Chocolate cake with chocolate cherry butter cream.
