Fall In Love With Loblolly’s Newest Wintry Menu

The approach of Valentine’s Day means one thing – the seasons of sweets is finally upon us. And, as always, local favorite Loblolly Creamery steps up to the plate.
Think wintry specials, a Galentine’s celebration (Gallons of ice cream for Valentine’s Day), and a delicious collaboration including Cupcakes on Kavanaugh.
First up, the new line of seasonal ice creams.
Start with a solid fan-favorite – Cookies & Cream. The Loblolly team says, “This is a flavor that has been requested over and over again.” And upon tasting it’s easy to know why – the classic combination of dark chocolate cookies with vanilla ice cream never gets old.
Owner Sally Mengel suggests the Earl Grey Lemon if you want to get a little “cozy” this season. The floral, zesty notes pair perfectly with the intermingled housemade candied lemon peel. Ultimately this seasonal flavor is a mild ice cream perfect for anyone.
For those wanting more of a classic-style dessert, try the Banoffee. This flavor will have you thinking of its classic English pie counterpart, lusciously laden with bananas and housemade cinnamon toffee.
And as the team says, “Don’t forget the dairy free option!”
This go-round the Coconut Carmel will enchant your tastebuds. Be warned – the housemade dairy-free caramel swirl is everything, and if you’re buying pints, one is not enough.
Guys and gals take note – the limited-edition Valentine’s Day flavors will debut at the beginning of February. Look for the creamery’s Galentine’s celebration to take place from Feb. 10 – 16, and be sure to check out housemade macarons, decorated conversation sugar cookies, and don’t forget, Loblolly’s delectable custom made ice cream cakes.
