Raduno Brick Oven & Barroom Unleashes New Brunch Menus

Great atmosphere, delectable eats, and a wide array of cocktails make for my ideal brunch. Lucky for me and everyone else who claims their brunchgame is strong in Rock City, Raduno Brick Oven & Barroom has unveiled their Sunday offerings to be quite enjoyable.
This past weekend I stopped by the eatery with a few friends to try out the new menu. The door was open, the sunshine was streaming in, and we were seated right away.
Once we sat down, I began perusing the drink menu. I was glad to see a variety of breakfast drinks beyond the usual Mimosa (although you can easily get one if you so desire), including a coffee cocktail, which I feel is often left off of brunch menus.
I started with a French 75, and was impressed with the light, herbal blend of gin, lemon and sparkling wine – perfect for a spring morning. I also tried the Milk Punch, and while the flavors were well balanced, I wish it had been slightly creamier, although it was still enjoyable.
I was pleased to have a delicious cup of Stumptown coffee along with my midday cocktails. I hate when I order a cup of joe at a restaurant only to taste a less than average flavor profile. Don’t fear – this one will revive you in the all the right ways.
On to the eats.

My friends and I decided we would order the Shrimp and ‘Grits’ to share. I’m not usually a huge fan of this dish, but this one came with sautéed shrimp and delectably seasoned polenta. While the shrimp was alright, I was more impressed with the polenta – we probably could have used a bit more of that cheesy goodness.
For my main I tried the Lox – smoked salmon complete with arugula capers, red onion and lemon all served on top of toasted sour dough with cream cheese. This dish was perfect – the salmon was fresh and tasty, and I liked the use of sourdough over a bagel.
And while I didn’t order it myself, the Chorizo & Potato Pizza found its way to our table. You can’t go wrong ordering a pizza at Raduno, especially for brunch, and the combination of chorizo, potatoes, green onion, and queso fresco ensured that no piece was left behind.
I only wish I had tried the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes – which sound divine. Oh well, there’s always next time.
Check the full menus below and catch brunch at Raduno this upcoming Sunday and keep your eyes peeled for the eatery to add a Saturday service, soon.[gview file=”http://www.rockcityeats.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/RADUNO-Brunch-Menu-FINAL.pdf”]
