There's Even S'more To Love At Le Pops This Season

It’s starting to cool down in Arkansas…and for many, it’s a welcome relief from the scorching heat of summer. But summer had some really good things going for it, too. One of our personal favorites was regular visits to our local frozen treat shop, Le Pops in The Heights. Gosh darn it…those little fruit pops and cups of shaved ice seemed to always make the summer swelter a bit more bearable.
But with the arrival of winter close at hand, you might be wondering, “Will I still find the same satisfaction from my beloved Le Pops when it’s icy cold and blizzarding outside?” The answer, my friend, is a resounding “yes.” Le Pops is on top of things and well-prepared to weather the winter with the arrival of their new seasonal menu.
So what’s new to Le Pops this time of year? Listen up…

First off, you need to know that Le Pops puts out a dangerously good cup of hot chocolate. In fact, you will be very hard-pressed to find a better mug in the entire city. It’s thick and creamy, adequately chocolatey and a far deal better than any watered down, microwave-ready version you’ve been drinking lately. In addition, they’re churning out fantastic housemade marshmallows. Let me tell you, if you’ve never had a real made-from-scratch mallow, you really don’t know what you’re missing. That junk you got from a bag at Walmart ain’t going to stand a chance against these. Le Pops does them in a variety of flavors, too. Look for regular vanilla, peppermint, and bourbon-flavored marshmallows going on right now. And if you’re looking for a wonderful gift for friends and family…Le Pops will sell you a jar of cocoa and bag of marshmallows to take home.
People are also going crazy for their “Hot Pops.” Here, you take their hot chocolate or freshly-brewed Rozark Hills Coffee and drop a pop into the mug. These are meant to melt and meld with the flavors of the chocolate or coffee. So imagine adding raspberry pops to cocoa, or caramel pops to coffee. The possibilities are endless.
But wait there’s more. Housemade s’mores are going down, too. Actually, they’re smaller s’mores bites…a one or two bite morel meant to be ordered in groups of three. They hand make the graham crackers, use their glorious mallows mentioned about, and temper the chocolate for a completely delectable experience. You can choose milk or dark chocolate (and you’ll choose dark if you have any sense at all).
So…there’s no reason not to keep Le Pops on your regular rotation all year long. Laurie Harrison knows how to keep Little Rock happy and satisfied…and a little winter weather’s not going to hold her back.
